本校應用英語系的同學們，每年的畢業公演都有現場展演，但很遺憾，今年遇上疫情的影響，使得同學們製作的道具及背景都無法使用。即使如此，同學們依舊視此為轉機。在今年的作品The Missing Time當中，使用錄製線上視訊會議的方式，以全新視角為大家詮釋他們自編的劇情，以自由、正義、勇氣等元素貫穿全劇，經過馬龍老師的專業建議及指導下，帶給我們不同於以往的全新體驗。願參與其中的師生們，都能有所收穫。更期盼畢業後，都能開創出屬於自己的精采人生，恭喜各位，謝謝!

Hello, everyone.
It is my pleasure to join you in such a great event.
I am sure all of you have devoted yourself a great deal of time and energy in making this drama possible.
To our disappointment, due to Covid-19, you cannot perform in a real theater and have interaction with audience. However, I admire your persistence in getting this drama done.
I always enjoyed watching you guys moving the tables, chairs and other props in the hallway, and doing the rehearsal.
You guys seemed to be in such a great joy.
I am pretty positive that your hard work will definitely be reflected in today’s performance.
The title of this drama is “The missing time“. The freedom is the core value you wanna convey.
It’s such an important concept in the modern society.
I look forward to watching your performance.
My particular thank goes to John, the director of the play.
Thank him for his contributions and devotion to the students of our department.

大家好 我是馬龍老師
Hello, I’m John Maloney, professor of drama here at Tainan University of Technology. It’s been my honor and my pleasure to work with the students this year preparing the show. They’ve been very creative, very comedic, and they written and produced so wonderful production. We’re just disappointed that we couldn’t invite you in persons to come and see the show. That’s always our pleasure and our ambition. But this year, with COVID and the world being in a very emergency situation. The students have been wonderfully adaptive and creative in filming the show using modern technology ― the online meeting as a way of sharing their work with you, with the world, and with each other. I couldn’t be prouder and I wanna thank the faculty, the chairperson, and the parents and everyone who supported our students in making this our wonderful production. We look forward to your viewing it, and sharing it with you.

Congratulations to all the performers of the 2021 English Drama ＂The Missing Time＂
I am very proud of you for showing your talents and efforts for the show, such as directing, casting making, makeup, play writing, stage managing, props-making, costumes, and background music. Your persistence and enthusiasm are considered as the one of the most essential traditions of the department. During the process of preparation, I believe all of you have learned how to express English naturally and how to use it in many creative ways. Once again, thanks for your great contribution to the show, and I am looking forward to this enjoyable and memorable journey.

各位公演同學大家好:我是四英三B導師林楠桐，因疫情關係無法看到大家現場表演深感可惜，但從上學期大家在課堂上努力討論及撰寫劇本至本學期每星期三或更多時間的排演，甚至看到導演馬龍老師親自用電鋸在製作道具，大家共同的使命就是讓公演能完美地演出，雖然現在無法做實體表演但大家的努力沒白費，在這準備的過程中大家學到問題解決、溝通協調及團隊合作的能力，這對爾後大家的職涯發展有很大的幫助，最後期勉大家對任何事情能發揮各盡職責，團隊合作、使命必達的精神。
